Eamonn has just walked off due to an "air conditioning" cough.

And as per, the tabloids have a field day:

I wonder whether they’d bother if it was on an ITN-produced programme given that the Daily Mail own 20% of ITN.

Seems they may be using a different theme on Friday. Maybe some GMTV?

Fingers crossed they'll use a mix of the GMB opening theme that somehow incorporates the classic LWT "river" ident jingle! Laughing

They could put all 3 versions of the GMB themes together like they are doing with 2014 and 2017 at the moment

Let’s not massively hype it up, as it will inevitably cause disappointment when it turns out to be a small nod.

Going by what Kate has posted on her Instagram, she has done her final show from TLS. Eamonn is only presenting until Thursday, so it’ll probably be Charlotte and Ranvir presenting on Friday. Would have been fitting for the man who started GMTV at TLS to finish ITV Breakfast’s final program from those studios.

That would be pretty cool,

In this thread?

I can guess there will be 10 pages solidly dicussing it, and then many pages afterwards when it turns out to be something very small and low key.

Why would playing a theme tune that's a couple of years old pay tribute to a 45 year old studio complex? As has been said, it's bound to be a "for the last time" v/o.

Because, correct me if I'm wrong, GMTV launched from that studio in 1993 until its last day in 2010?

I think that some point in early 2010, GMTV temporarily moved to a different studio because Daybreak's new set was being constructed in their usual studio. Then, Daybreak were then in this studio until the 2012 revamp. It was empty from 2012-2014, until GMB launched.

No, Daybreak were in the old LNN studio, the one with the windows.

GMTV did use that for a while when their studio was out of commission for technical upgrades or similar, but I think GMTV were in the studio GMB is in now.

Daybreak Mk.1 was infamously in Studio 7 with the dark views across London.

Studio 5 was GMTV's studio all the way through, apart from when there was maintenance for a few days when Studio 7 or outside locations were used.

Daybreak Mk.2 shared with Lorraine in Studio 3. And then GMB made a return to GMTV's home in Studio 5.

If it turns out to be a damp squib then we can all watch this video and pretend it’s on tv:
