Is this a new arrangement? Not seen it before myself.

Maybe Charlie’s put his hip out from twisting around awkwardly to talk to guests on the screen behind him.

Regional bulletins back from September 7.

The day the schools (probably) start up again

Schools are the 3rd or 4th. At least where I am

Lowest-ever ratings for BBC Breakfast yesterday - just 1.22m (39.9%) compared to 690k (23%) for Good Morning Britain.

The latter is on course to beat Breakfast in September. Bye bye Breakfast-lead.

I'm sorry to drag this up again, but what particularly tickles me about this is that the GMB rating has actually gone down since the last time they posted about it.

I really don't understand him. Half of his posts seem like the regular type of thing you'd see on this forum, the other half are his ratings BS.

Looks like along with the return of regional news that Breakfast will be back to it's usual 6.00-9.15 slot from 7th September as they've confirmed Crimewatch Roadshow will return at 9.15 from that date.

Which makes me wonder whether most things on the News Channel may return that week (since we already know that Newswatch is back the Friday before.)

World News Today hasn't been put in at 7pm, 8pm & 9pm, as that would replace Outside Source and Katty/Christian, likely it will be 1 x 60 & 2 x 30, just hope the files haven't been deleted for back half-hour as they haven't done that since 2016. with the back half of 2nd-hour being UK focused, with Newswatch going to 21:30, film review 21:45

There is exactly zero chance of this happening. World news today will never return to weekdays and will hopefully never return to weekends, OS is continuing to be sold to external broadcasters so will remain on air at 7 and 8 for the forseeable and Christian and Katty will remain on air at least until after the US election at 9. Now that generic simulcast bulletins are considered acceptable during waking hours there will absolutely no reason for simulcast hours on Friday's and weekends to return to using dated branding that was only still in use so that the BBC hide previous cuts.

*I missed out on a Friday* I'm just saying that was the case on Friday's before Covid that on BBC World News both were replaced on Friday's with World News Today. If we are going back to a normal schedule and simulcasting continues between 7pm-10pm, as been hinted by press releases, its likely that would be the case.

Schedules for the NC are now online and it looks to be staying the same as it currently is (for the time being anyway).

Take those with a pinch of salt, Newswatch only appeared for next Friday the other day and Monday was showing back half hour programmes scheduled for the first half hour. Not expecting anything special, however they can often be changed last minute.
