Scottish graphics are better, and have a bigger gap at the bottom, which would probably be enough on National graphics. (Even if they are using Gill Sans for all their text)

Both are using Gill Sans.

Yes, and its crap.

Quite a bit about them looking like losing nationally though.

Noticed at the Rutherglen result that the graphics used for the figures and percentages were similar yet different between BBC Scotland coverage and BBC UK coverage. It really annoys me that the BBC has had two sets of graphics designed when one would do. Also seems strange seeing all the CGI stuff following a Scottish result on the UK programme and nothing near as fancy on the Scottish programme for what is a result of more interest to people watching the Scottish programme. Surely the state of the art, HD capable, new Pacific Quay studios could do a bit of CGI in Studio B or C?

There is now talk of labour landslide in capital, and SNP whitewash in Aberdeenshire, Lib dem are heading for meltdown and it does not seem there taking note.

Hard to deduce that from one constituency result, and the potential for some 'topping up' from the additional members elected via regional lists. However, I do think that the SNP have played it well. They will be the big winners - taking votes from the Lib Dems and Labour.

Lib Dem "wipeout" will be clearer to see from council election results in England.

Share of the vote is going down the pan..... faster than the titanic, it does seems Lib dem vote are going to snp but also Labour in Edinburgh.

Lib dem have lost two deposits already

Good. I would like to see Mike Pringle go in Southern and Cole-Hamilton is far too smug to win Central.

The SNP of course will do okay on the regional vote too as they have completely misrepresented it on the ballot paper - trying to make out it is somehow a vote for First Minister - when it isn't at all.

Yet that has been sorted out this time with SNP half way down the page, At least Scottish Socialist are above the Socialist ( yawn) labour party.

its now saying SNP could take all seats in aberdeenshire, SNP and Lab could get rid of lib dems and tories in Edinburgh, expect recounts tonight

Credit to the SNP (grudgingly), they've run a good campaign and have had some solid messages for the voters when the other parties had next to nothing to offer the electorate. I can't say I'm looking forward to an unbearably smug Salmond in this new parliament, but he was the only one to offer any leadership over the last few weeks and has proved himself in govt so fair play to him, I guess. Just hope we won't have another long-winded 'conversation' about independence ahead.

I totally agree SNP have ran a very good and positive campaign with solid messages for the voters in contrast to the negative Labour campaign which had nothing to offer to the electorate. I am also not looking forward to seeing smug Alex (who eat all the pies) Salmond in the new parliament. He is so egotistical it is almost beyond embarrassing. Also in reference to the Lib Dems who have been completely wiped out by their Coalition with the Torries. It will be interesting to see what affect it has on the Labour leadership in both Holyrood and Westminister.
