Actually scrap that, the matting is CRAP! It's just surrounding the edge of the table with a bit of headroom for guests, and you can literally see the background fade into black where this headroom is. Oh well.

Just saw some disembodied legs walking around in part of the cut out from the virtual background Laughing

BBC Scotland's graphics look very 1997 Corporate Scheme. I like it.

As nobody seems to have mentioned the Election Results programme from Wales, I thought I get some caps of their studio and graphics.

I think they're using the same studio as that used for the Politics Show. It looks very nice, I think...

Here are some caps from behind the scenes in N9, as shown on the Daily Politics on Thursday afternoon....

I thought there would be a presenter from breakfast in Scotland or out and about. Last time Bill was in Scotland and Susanna was in Wales. Fiona Bruce also presented the 6 and 10 from Scotland - it will be intersting to see if someone does that again today.

Compared to the Euro Elections in 2009, the matting in N9 doesn't seem to be as good this time....

Pardon my ignorance, but what is "matting", in the context of your post above, Stuart?

(Is that a couple of bananas resting on the printer pod above?)

Matting is the process that replaces the top half of the picture with another (partly virtual) shot to hide the cameras etc

BBC Parliament stuck with BBC Scotland until 0900, when they rather unceremoniously crashed out into their next programme. But here are some screengrabs from the Scotland live feed

After all these years, I am pleased to see that Jackie Bird and Sally Magnusson are still at BBC Scotland. Decades later. Liking that big desk they have in the studio. Is that CSO behind Jackie Bird, or is that a real window?

Sally comes and goes from London.

That's the new BBCPQ canteen overlooking the Clyde. Real windows.

The difference between Glasgow and London was stark - Glasgow were using a huge studio with conventional tungsten (studio class) lighting - London (although brighter in picture terms) seemed flatter and smaller.
