I always like it when broadcasters recreate old sets using VR.

ZDF's Heute Journal did something similar for its 40th anniversary:

Speaking of ZDF anniversaries, the channel's Mittagsmagazin ("midday magazine") celebrated its 30th anniversary a few days ago with a look back at its history:

Yesterday, TeleMadrid revived the old 1989 intro for the 30th anniversary of their newscast TeleNoticias . And used some VR for the set, at least during the first minute.

For this occasion, the first newsreader of the TeleNoticias , Hilario Pino, was present. He works for Cuatro nowadays.

By the way, this is what WPVI's intros look like these days:



WPVI commissioned an updated version of the theme in 1996. It was recorded in London by members of the the London Philharmonic and London Symphony Orchestra, but public reaction back in Philadelphia was so negative that it was discarded after just a few days, when the old theme was brought back.

It's easy to see why - the punchiness of the original theme is lost with the reorchestration.
