That's Hants YouTube channel is already up with three packages.

Which is precisely all they were showing on a loop this morning. Nothing much local, apart from the council interview, and the vox-pops. All the other content lifted from Manchester and Solent

Ofcom have approved changes to Made in Teesside which include a reduction in original programming from the local area and the breakfast news programme doesn't have to run for 3.5 hours per weekday.

Well, just watched less than 10 minutes, and nothing has changed in the loop since this morning, I've seen longer test transmission barkers ! Dreadful bit rate starved SD signal too, it's like going back to the early 00s

Edit: 18:55hrs. BBC South Today have just run a major lead story regarding serious issues at a surgery in Basingstoke. Meanwhile on That's Hampshire still running the tenuous Manchester related interviews, including images of south coast police stations.

The USP of That's Hampshire should be NOT to have all the South Coast related stuff, as that's exactly what most people round here don't like about BBC South and Meridian. Even BBC South have more or less stopped Manchester related stories (thankfully)

They're not part of SNAC, an agreement between the PSBs, Sky, BT and Eurosport which gives access to clips for the purpose of news coverage.

Assumed it was something along those those lines. It's something the 'Local TV Network' as whole should fight to be apart of, it would benefit all.

Would it really be that beneficial though? I mean in the case of Cardiff, they already have a relationship with Cardiff City, Cardiff Blues and Cardiff Devils, which is pretty much the whole share of popular sports in the capital. I know some of the other channels have similar arrangements.

Made in Cardiff has started producing a Welsh language programme, "Made Cymraeg" which also screens on Made in North Wales (probably the reason for its creation)

It'd certainly help the smaller independent channels and That's TV who don't have the expertise that Made have shown recently.

However as you alluded to, other channels have agreements with sports teams. Mustard with Norwich City is one that springs to mind.

Yeah, of course it would. A relationship is nothing if you can't show the actual goals/trys the BBC/ITV stations do every Monday night. What you find on the local channels is elongated interviews with single shot with coaches/players just played out on the news programmes which would only appeal to the most hardened fans of these clubs, it doesn't make for good local telly at all and Beeb and ITV regional news programmes have a real advantage here.

Yes but can they show the league goals, thats important regardless of any relationship they have.

Made in Cardiff & Made in Bristol joined forces for a "Wales & West News Special" yesterday offering a Cardiff/Bristol perspective on the Manchester attacks.

It was a nicely made programme featuring interviews with South Wales Police (looking ahead of the security implications of the upcoming Champions League Final) and the Mayor of Bristol amongst others.

*******

The programme can be viewed here:

It was preceded by a 10 minute programme shown across the whole Made network, broadcast live from Manchester where a reporter gave an update and spoke to eyewitnesses.

Ironically much better coverage than That's Manchester.

Kudos to MADE, they're definitely making an effort for coverage which makes That's TV look pathetic in comparison.

I'd add London Live to the roll of local tv shame too.

Considering Made don't even cover Manchester thanks to That's TV, that is some considerable effort which will be appreciated by the local viewers, especially in Liverpool, Teesside, Leeds and Tyne & Wear of whom some attended the concert.

The live networked programme can be seen here (followed by Liverpool's local coverage)
