I think this is a nice vocal revamp of the Coca Cola trucks advert (although its now as camp as Christmas!) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Qph1zSmatP4

Wow, that's lovely, and it's made me feel dare I say it Christmassy.

Do we know if that's this years official advert because it says was the European version, but surely the worldwide campaign last year was the same to celebrate their history, was it not?

I do love that version, it's amazing what an extra dimension adds and brings it up to date, others may say it's ruined it, but I love it, and yes indeed it is as camp as Christmas.

Was this the version used on UTV earlier?

Not sure if the Tamee version was used on UTV.

There's another vid on there of the actual trucks driving through the centre of Berlin or somewhere like it! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=XYSB3eJ-u0A

Germany tend to be the main country that respect the trucks promotions, shame we can't be the same in the UK anymore.

Dear All,

Your favourite ad is coming back! I work in Coca-Cola marketing and can confirm it will be back on air in GB from 18th November. As soon as I know what programs its in i'll let you know.

Well done on the campaign, this was one of the reasons we had to bring it back.

A little early me thinks, still if true..at least we've got it back!

I think it's up to each individual country what advert they use. Coca-Cola in the UK is a franchise licensed out by the proper American company, as I understand it. So they can make their own decisions on marketing.

Coca-Cola Austria have a whole tour of the country going on, and a fancy Christmas section on their website! Why can't we have all this in the UK? It's just not fair Sad

I reckon it's almost guarenteed. It's just a question of exactly which version of 'trucks' they will show. There are some dire ones. Personally I like the all singing all dancing one that nok32uk posted Very Happy But the traditional one with father and son in the car at the end will do. Smile

This version is the same as the one posted, but has additional graphics which takes on the design from the bottles at the time.

I wonder who created these versions, especially as the songs are English. Are these the US versions, or would the US make them for different countries?

It would be nice for them to create a coca cola trucks tour.

You can see the German Christmas Coke adverts here. They seem to be using two adverts, one trucks version and the other the same as ours from last year but with a new soundtrack on both in the form of Sarah Connor's "The Best Side of Life"

"Why else would John Lewis take to the small screen for only the second time in its entire history? ... exactly the kind of awkward, arty attempt to join the fray that you'd expect from the patron saint of middle-class consumerism."

How true.
