Has anyone been watching series 2? With just 2 episodes left what do you think so far?. Personally I think -although it's a little patchy- series two has been a massive improvement on series 1. While the only major highlight of the first series was Les Dennis, series 2 has provided many more highlights. The biggest of which came this week with Ronnie Corbett snorting coke in the toilets at the Baftas and Moira Stewart being arrested for supplying. Laughing "Barry off of Eastenders" and Andy's manager have also been brilliant.

Personally, I think Series 2 has been weaker. While I've enjoyed them all (last week's with Daniel Radcliffe especially), I haven't laughed once.

I've really been enjoying this series of Extras and have found myself laughing out loud a lot. Much more so than when ever watching The Office in fact.

I'm loving this new series. Seriously can't get enough of Andy Millman's adventures.

I wish Stephen Merchant's character could be reeled in just a touch, as I find it difficult to beleive he wouldn't have been sacked (or smacked) by now.

I thought the first series was awful and overrated. But somebody said to me that I had to watch this one and Merchant & Barry from EastEnders were comedy gold. So I did watch and they were right.

There are far more laugh out loud moments in this series compared to the first and last night's was an absolute classic. I also think I'm enjoying this series more because of the increased role of Stephen Merchant, he's easily the best thing in it.

How can you not laugh at this:

SM: The best one was the Telegraph.
RG: What did they say?
SM: They didn't review it.

RG: So has anyone called.
SM: No, no-one at all......Oh no wait, yeh. Sky called.
RG: Oh yeh? Wot did they want?
SM: They can put your dish up Tuesday.

There are some humourous parts in it but it is poor IMO way out of the league of the other two pedigree comedy shows (That Mitchell and Webb Look and Mock The Week) in terms of comedy.

Though nice to see Moira in a cameo role last night the best part was having Chris Martin from Coldplay singing Fix You!

I'm loving the clips of Andy Millman's sitcom When The Whistle Blows (is he havin' a laugh?) - the way they've executed the idea of a show within a show is superb. It seems to be some kind of hybrid between Dinnerladies and Coronation Street during the Reg Holdsworth years. They've got the attention to detail spot on, with the low budget theme tune and opening titles, although it's more the kind of thing BBC1 would have shown during the early 90s than nowadays.

I know it sounds really sad but I'd actually love to watch a full length episode of When The Whistle Blows... I wonder if they'll include it as an extra on the DVD?

They make it seem like a naff sitcom technically too which i like. They even take off the filmic effect and leave it as untouched interlaced Video, which makes it stand out as different unlike those programmes who use footage supposedly done on a cheap camcorder, but all it is is Digibeta with a little crosshair and a REC symbol on it, pah!

Despite the fact no camcorder I've ever used has either a crosshair or a flashing red dot.
