I'm glad I've been dragged into the middle of this, getting PMs from different members accusing others of being trolls and having multiple accounts and all insisting they are just one person. I don't know who to beleive, nor did I want to be dragged into the middle of this.

I was on there for many years but left (at the last election actually) after someone wished death on me for a perfectly acceptable political position. The place is like a cult, don't speak out of line. Anyway thought I would try and test out this new system but it says my account email is not found.

This is the same politics forum where anyone doesn't support the government or what they're doing is told they're "anti-democractic" and should shut up. Whereas surely being allowed to critisise such things is surely exactly what democracy is, and trying to supress opposition is what's actually anti-democratic.

Just choked on the irony reading this story. DS calling somebody out for not proof reading.

It's Digital Spy! Were you really expecting intelligent discourse in the politics section? You can get a headache just reading the TV forums.

This is the forum where someone once accused me of having a learning disability because I disagreed with them on something. Something to do with TV!

The politics forum is the perfect example of why the new forum software's limit on the ignore list (originally 5 since doubled to 10) is woefully inadequate. A wonderful example of how intelligent the debate gets on there is someone this morning desctibing Gina Miller as a "knob".

How can you partake in a debate if you are ignoring people who form part of it?

Throwing around insults and racist comments is hardly debate, and I don't think you're losing anything by ignoring them.

Oh, and it looks like they've (again) got rid of the disagree option. https://forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/2216112/reactions-update-disagree-disabled

Then call it out. Debate the insults and racism. If it goes unchallenged, it flourishes.

And now there's a thread 20 pages long full of people sulking and getting angry because their sad face button has been taken away, is this really that important to some people? I'm wondering how they coped for the 17 years the forum didn't have reaction buttons?
