OK, get worked up again, they've decided the trial is going on for another week. Rolling Eyes

Yes everyone should get worked up and complain about it. We've never needed it in the past. Let them do this now and in a few years time you'll be opening the floodgates to all sorts of banners and promotions DURING a programme instead of at the end.

Meh - don't like it, but not overly irritated at the same time. Surely the ECP is generally good enough?

Probably useful to announce changes to schedules etc. though.

I've got no problem with the general concept of graphics during programmes, as long as they're well designed and subtly done. This is clearly not!

Sorry if this has been pointed out before, but they now seem to be using these to promote programmes on other channels too.

Just now watching Holidays in the Danger Zone, a plug popped up for The World on BBC Four.

It's not revolutionary I suppose, but it's very clever as I now want to watch The World.

These things are just so crappy it's unbelieveable. I was watching the 5:35 edition of Neighbours and one appeared telling me I could watch the repeat of Blue Peter on the CBBC Channel. The Continuity Announcer then told us that again during the end credits. How stupid are they? Evil or Very Mad

I personally think that they are not too bad (they could be worse), but I agree that they need to be faster. I think they are on screen for too long.

I hate them I hate them I hate them I hate them I hate them

I really think they are annoying. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't reannounced at the end of the programme, just in case we missed it cascading across our screens.

Apparently, their trial period has now come to an end and their future is being debated. According to my source, they won't reappear, if they do reappear - which I'm sure they will, until BBC 1&2 move to the new Broadcast Centre.
