Why was Huw on News 24?

I suppose so that people who want the Ten at ten can still see the usual presenter, although on a different channel with slightly different titles and graphics.

He also presented a news update during half time of the football on BBC One.

and possibly the fact that you cant broadcast two programes on the same channel at the same time. plus they never ever swap sports from one channel to the other, like they did with Dick & Dom on saturday. Sad

But Breakfast is one programme broadcasting on two channels...not the other way round.

Why could they have done a version of the 10 at 10pm on News 24 from the national studio with the addition
of the News 24 tower and without the regional slot.
Or is this against BBC policy? Basically the 10 O Clock News team producing a bulletin for News 24, just so
that people could see the programme at 10pm.

Probably because News 24 is meant to be a rolling news channel, and it wasn't as if the 10 wasn't broadcast at all - it was just slightly later. Doing that would mean that they'd have to produce the same programme twice.

I doubt it was the whole Ten team doing that bulletin on News 24 last night - most probably just Huw presenting with the normal News 24 crew in the gallery.
