Wouldn’t trust the Genome/RT data

Although it did actually carry on for two more weeks, unbilled in the Radio Times, as Breakfast News was delayed by a union dispute.

That was also the case when the new Breakfast Time began in 1986, it was supposed to relaunch in October when the new daytime schedules began - and I vividly remember the cartoon in the Radio Times accompanying the "last" old episode with some workmen prising the sun logo off the wall - but that was also delayed due to a union dispute and old Breakfast Time continued to mid-November.

Ahh yes I just saw the clips on TV Ark... Laurie cracked a joke about lack of facilities in the new studio so perhaps the plumbers needed to be brought in Wink

Coo forgot that there was a few strikes early 2010’s... I remember the one which had Emma Crosby present the news at one... and the 2005 one with Ahktar Khan presenting breakfast and Stephen Cole on 6 & 10 with good feedback.

For us pres buffs we probably desperately want to see another strike.. 24 hour ones give more to talk about Smile

I remember them showing a clip of it the following Monday on EMT, but other than that never seen it.

Always remember the 2010 strike because one of them fell on my 18th birthday. I'd just been bought my first pint and I remember the Six coming on, and some bloke pointing at the screen saying "Who's that?"
