Just caught the end of CBBC on BBC One this evening and Simon and Angellica said that Friday was their last day and that there would be a big announcement as well.

I know there was news about CBBC and Cbeebies being presenterless but I thought this was happening in the near future rather than within weeks of being announced?

Oh dear. Oh DEAR. The BBC copying ITV? Shouldn't it be the other way round? Bad news imo.

That would be a sad day in history of British Children's Television, I can't understand why they are dong it. Sad

Yeh, I love the way they're trying to gloss it over as a 'big announcement' as well - as if kids are actually going to be pleased about it?! Shocked

Thought it was just the CBBC channel that was ditching presenters?

I'm confused, how can that be the big announcement when we've already been told they're leaving?

Well one way for sure is to find out tomorrow. For all we know they could be replaced by puppets!

Do your own jokes purlease.

Well, ditching the presenters is a big mistake - but then again with most of the CBBC guys it's good riddence - especially Simon and Angellica who have hung around far longer than they should have!

I saw a junction on CBeebies a couple of days ago which didn't have any presenters - instead a VT of kids discovering how to make green by painting their hands blue and yellow!

Something's up if it's both their last day - unless it's a huge coincidence. Sounds like CBBC are hanging up their presenters after 21 years. The end of an era. And I can't see Angellica getting a sign off like the greats of the past - Phil, Andi, Kirsten, Otis!

I always liked Angelica back in my CBBC days (which I realise some people here are still in Wink ).

How long has Angelica been at CBBC? Must be a good few years now - I've not watched CBBC for ages.
