This policy explains how TV Forum (hereinafter "TV Forum", "us", "we", "our") use any information collected during any visit by you (hereinafter "your", "visitor", "user").

Cookies are small text files on your computer set by our web server. These cookies are used to identify repeat and unique visitors. Cookies are also used to keep visitors logged into their accounts.

_utma Keeps track of the number of times a visitor has been to the site pertaining to the cookie, when their first visit was, and when their last visit occurred. 2 years
_utmb This cookie takes a timestamp of the exact moment in time when a visitor enters a site. 30 minutes
_utmc This cookie takes a timestamp of the exact moment in time when a visitor leaves a site. The B and C cookies work together to calculate how long a visit takes. End of session
_utmz __utmz keeps track of where the visitor came from, what search engine was used, what link was clicked on, what keyword was used, and where they were in the world when the website was accessed 6 months

Automatically collected information

Our web server automatically logs information when you visit the TV Forum website. This information includes, but is not limited to: Your IP, Hostname, Browser and Operating system information, Plug-in information, referrer and the pages you visit. None of the information we automatically collect identifies you personally.

Personal information

All personal information we collect is kept securely and is not shared, sold or otherwise passed on to any person or company.

Forum software

The passage hereunder describes how information is collected and stored with the forum software.

Your information is collected via two ways. Firstly, browsing a forum will cause the forum software to create a number of cookies (see above).

The second way in which we collect your information is by what you submit to us. This can be, and is not limited to: registering on the website (hereinafter "your account") and posts submitted by you after registration and whilst logged in (hereinafter "your posts").

Your account will at a bare minimum contain a uniquely identifiable name (hereinafter "your username"), a personal password used for logging into your account (hereinafter "your password") and a personal, valid e-mail address (hereinafter "your email"). Your information for your account on forums is protected by data-protection laws applicable in the country that hosts us. Any information beyond your user name, your password and your e-mail required by the forums during the registration process are at our digression what is mandatory and what is optional. In all cases, you have the option of what information in your account is publicly displayed. Furthermore, within your account, you have the option to opt-in or opt-out of automatically generated e-mails from the forum software.

Your password is ciphered (a one-way hash) so that it is secure. However, it is recommended that you do not reuse the same password across a number of different websites. Your password is the means of accessing your account on forums, so please guard it carefully and under no circumstance will anyone affiliated with TV Forum or another third party legitimately ask you for your password. Should you forget your password for your account, you can use the "Forgot your password?" feature provided by the forum software. This process will ask you to submit your username and your email, then the forum software will generate a new password to reclaim your account.
