I don't understand because they updated the BBC1 2002 package, the BBC 2 idents, and CBBC bugs package, all originally designed by Lambie-Nairn. I don't get why they don't go back to LN as they originally designed them.
To their credit, they did win a competative pitch for BBC ONE and BBC FOUR though, but not BBC TWO, and I presume Red Bee produced a pitch for BBC TWO.
Although there has been critisism of LN, they do seem to have a consistently high record in TV branding, especially for the BBC.

They may have been good a while back, but there are so many companies to choose from, why does it seem to automatically go to Red Bee...?

I've said it before, I think Bee are better at extending existing idea, rather than thinking up their own from scratch. BBC Two Morris Dancers was very good for example.
Anway, I really, really like Lambie Nairn's work, they are usually very original, and really match the design to the client. Just looking round their website I think shows this.
