I have to ask what is 24 Hour Quiz?

Basically a 24 hour quiz show in some kind of pod, I think if you got a certain amount of questions wrong you have to leave the pod.

There's far too much of the crew in front of the camera with this 'P Team' nonsense. It's not particularly entertaining for viewers at home either

I agree with that totally. An entertaining interview with Vernon Kay had to be cut short, and to what end? The 'P Team' and their exercisezzzzzzz.

I think Paul is a his best when chatting with his guests, and not wasting time with those cringeworthy pre-records.

I agree the best parts are the chats. Everything else without exception is crap.

I love the new intro sequence Smile It reminds me of the old cinema (eg. Showcase) policy trailers they used to show before a film.

I agree about the chats. The other items are a bit naff really.

I seem to recall it was the cutting off of interviews for a load waffle which caused R & J to quit This Morning

Paul has a say in what goes on. One of the reasons he left ITV was because they wouldn't let him and his production company have creative control. It's no coincidence that it's since then the show become bogged down with all this excruciating nonsense.

I think its also due to the removal of the 'Organ Game' that the show has had to be padded out with this stupid nonsense. I can't stand the 'P Team' shenanigans. Does anyone know if they'll bring the 'Organ Game' back in the future, now that the competition scandal is dying down?

Most likely there'll be four special Christmas editions, like they did last year. Not the same though because the rest of the time its filled out with 'P Team' nonsense or... Joyce.

The one saving grace of the P-Team was having Peter Dickson do his E4 voice for all the narration. He seems to be getting more and more E4'ish work these days doesn't he! Laughing

The montages in and out of every break are annoying too, especially as it will be the same ones every episode all series. This is another example of padding

They just make the show look even tackier.

OK, it's never going to be for the Radio 4 audience, but removing the unnecessary padding wouldn't affect it's core audience at all, and would be far less off putting to it's occasional audience too.

As for the Organ Game though - it was probably a saving grace in the end that it got the axe. Really it should have been left behind at ITV. Yes, there is certainly room for viewer competitions on a show like this, but they need to change them regularly IMO to keep it fresh.

When Paul finishes this current series in December will he be back in March 2009? Wonder if he will continue next year with the March/June and Sept/Dec series.

Just wondering what will fill the January-March 5pm slot before Paul returns.

Wogan's Perfect Recall was not a very good replacement for Richard and Judy.

Shame Richard Hammond didn't get the chance to have his show on. I think he would have made a better replacement that Wogan, after all he did do the Richard Hammond 5 O'Clock Show in January 2006 for ITV1.
