Was it me or did the continuity announcer before the 6pm news just now call This Morning "Good Morning"?

Yes he did. I thought he was a bit off too.

Was is it the Continuity Announcers' Awards last night?

Perhaps he was up late playing Pie Face with Dean Lydiate and Joanna Pinnock.

Two new promos with a 'different style' to promote Saturday Night Takeaway. Whether the fonts will match the look of the show or not is a mystery, but Gotham would make a nice simple but good look to the show.

This image shows a different style to the graphics but still that same odd looking logo (imo).

Regardless of graphics, I just hope the show itself feels a bit more free flowing this series. Everything felt so tightly rehearsed last year it undermined the whole charm of Ant and Dec and spoiled the show IMO.

The logo is not 100% the same as the normal one, they did have another one a while go but that was quickly dropped.

I'd love to see the return of something like 'What's Next' where the boys do get surprised.
The problems last year during Singalong Live showed them to look cross and embarrassed where as years ago they would have revelled in something like that happening.

They seemed to pounce upon the debatable comparisons to Morecambe & Wise, giving us stuff like the End of the Show Show, which was so M&W I'm surprised they didn't finish the show by singing Bring Me Sunshine. As nice as it is to see them give a nod to such a thing, Ant & Dec aren't comedians and I don't know why some people insist that they are. They're television presenters with an excellent rapport with each other, and the professionalism they're trying to convey overrides the natural chemistry they became so well loved for.

Did anyone see the new car ad where A&D play "I'm a celeb get out of me ear" with an actor/car salesman and some unsuspecting car buyers? I know Ofcom have relaxed things a lot lately but it's the closest thing I've seen to dual-purpose advertising. And if it comes up as one of the prizes in Win the Ads... (half of which stuff I've never seen advertised on telly anyway)

A lot of the prizes on SNT are added to. For example, if the advert is for Santander bank, then they win a bank account with money already in it; if it's for Sky then they get a Sky box, subscription and a telly to go with it; if it's for a car they usually get the insurance added on (by another advertiser) and if it's an advert for flights then they'll normally throw a holiday in on top.

The new car ad featuring a version of "I'm a Celebrity... Get Out Of My Ear!" I think is quite good advertising, especially with the new series coming up. I have, admittedly, only seen it broadcast on ITV at the moment though.
