Does that go for The Simpsons as well? We might actually get the benefit of all the Fox-related jokes during the show whilst watching on a Fox channel.

Can someone point out to me the purpose of FX UK, when effectively Sky One is a Fox channel anyway. Isn't selling rights to Sky One really just bureaucracy?

I'm guessing it's more an exercise in PR - ie Fox getting the FX brand recognised around the world. But, yes, Sky One is basically a Fox channel too - I guess the difference is similar to the difference between the Fox network channel and FX in the US.

That said, some of the FX line-up does look quite good - I'm glad to see the return of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea!

That's a VERY unfortunate slogan, isn't it?

"Go and get a bigger telly."

A pity they're only in 4:3, so they don't even fill the telly I've already got.

Have a feeling they might come to regret using that one.

Random fact: A show made by Fox starts every 18 seconds around the world [if you were to pad it out that is - so that none start at the same time[

Not at all.

Fox is just about fully owned by News Corp.

Sky is just 36% owned by News Corp.

So the channel is now live isn't it, i.e. showing programmes. What's presentation like, or doesn't anyone know?

Don't forget... 289 is one down from the movie channels . . .

Until some cheapo, lame, waste of EPG space, channel comes along and fills in the gap between 301 and 289 . . . !

Random Fact#2: The guy who wrote the Simpsons theme music gets paid $12 each time an episode airs anywhere in the world. That's a hell of a lot of times, and a hell of a lot of cash.

Therefore, it's majority owned by News Corp, surely?

I think 51% is majority ownership, not 36%.

Or would you find that easier to understand in roman numerals?

Can you name a single person/company who owns a bigger share of BSkyB than News Corp?
