The Fox Kids channel is to be rebranded Jetix.

'FX' is now on channel 289.

Looks like a fairly decent channel, especially when compared to most of the channels in the 200's.

The schedule is a bit repetative though, espcailly at weekends, but i'm sure it'll get better as they get the rights to more programmes.

Well the graphics are no surprise, very americanised. The british voiceover is unexpected though.

Don't forget... 289 is one down from the movie channels - a very good position in my books - where is BBC Three... I only know this because of watching it so often [115] but it's in the middle of a load of similar channels.

But 115 is much better than the old BBC Three/BBC Choice slot of 160... At least Three is now close to UK Gold, Living and Plus - themselves popular channels, and in a much better slot than E4 or ITV2. (There are continuing rumours that ITV2 will move to Plus's slot at 118, and Plus will relaunch as ITV3/Gold?)

I like the graphics set very much. Not too keen on the content, but it might get better.

Not much benefit if you're a cheapskate like me without the movies. Smile

Correct me if I'm wrong or being extremely dumb - I'm sure you will - but wasn't FX already broadcasting in the US before it reached the UK? If so, wouldn't that explain why the graphics look "american"?

Can someone explain why 24 isn't on FX instead of Sky One as it is a Fox show!!?

Yep, FX has been going in the US for quite a few years.

The reason FX isn't going to be showing 24 is, as far as I'm aware, because it's more profitable for Fox to sell the rights to someone else (eg Sky) than to show the series on its own channel.
