I am pretty sure the South East announcement was a standby, as he did not introduce the presenters by name.

BBC TWO North West was powder, but it was live read by Stuart Flinders. It said 'Now on BBC Two, North West Tonight with Gordon Burns'

I've captured that.

Any one got Reporting Scotland?

How do you know it was a live read rather than pre-recorded?

(Regions with self-opt pres areas could easily do the pres live if they have a spare self-opt capable presenter) Wonder if Ian White was sat in Pres in Leeds?

Yep - pretty unusual to switch the News. I remember in last years semi it must have been closer to the end as they put off the news for an hour or so and broadcast it at 7pm. Moving it to Two does make more sense though as they don't want BBC Two to beat One in the ratings again obviously!!

How long did BBC regions and the main presentation have between the switch being made and Six O'Clock. Interesting to see how many viewers are watching the 6-7 hour on BBC Two.

Newsroom Southeast just did a wimbledon update and cut back to a LIVE wide angle shot of centre court on BBC1 for a couple of seconds.

Was this planned centrally and included on any other regions?

I'm not too keen on Ian White as either a CA or newsreader.

There was a click and also you seem to get a faint buzz when something is live. It was also live because Stuart Flinders would never read over the ident - hes a reporter/presenter!

Nope - nothing here on BBC Leeds. I presume the clock at 6 was a national one and with no regions. Was it just introduced as the Six with Sian? They must have guessed it might happen because at the end of the 3.20 bulletin on the end caption it didn't say 'Next News at 6pm on BBC One' but just 'www.bbc.co.uk/news'.

Oh, and I think Ian White is really good. He's much better than the woman who was doing BBC Leeds Late updates before!

No, just Newsroom South East!

Mind you, Sally Newgent our Sports presenter is at Wimbledon!

As I missed it (I had to go to get some frozen peas at Somerfield), am I right or wrong in saying that:

at 6.00pm, all English regions got the network BBC 2 clock and a normal introduction, apart from SE who got a regional one. Or is this totally wrong??

Wales news is far more interesting than the rest of the UK Smile

A computer hacker hunted down by the FBI to a little town in Wales after getting credit card details and sending Bill Gates some Viagra?! Then a live interview with the guy! Blimey, stick the Nations news on Two all the time!!

Cheers, Asa

Oh, BTW - Wales Today never use an animation at the end of the 1830 bulletin - just audio. They only use the anim at the weekend or lunch! So you'll get nothing there I'm afraid Asa! Perhaps it might be work capturing then end Reporting Scotland titles or something, as I've already sent you a perfect audio file of the end of Wales Today!

I'm sure you've got this covered Asa but will we be seeing clips of the nations on BBC Two later this evening here on TV Home?!
