The story about Ched Evands has been reported this morning but not introduced by Sean even though it's associated to sport. He's becoming a bit of a spare part at the moment when he could be used so much more.

I wouldn't classify the Chad Evans story as a sport story - it's far more a news story. Putting it in a sports sequence or giving it to a sports presenter would be really odd unless you were concentrating heavily on the sports angle, rather than the wider social questions it raises. And if you touch on the Judy FInnigan stuff you'd definitely be in news territory.

There is absolutely no way that anybody could claim this is a primarily a sport story. The mind boggles.

So as a journalist who specialises in sport Sean's only ability is to say that a football team won by X amount of goals, etc?

I understand that the background to the story is more than the sport, but today's headline was that Sheffield United could be thinking about resigning him.

I can see where you are coming from because this particular part of the story is about his football club. Emphaisis on this particular part because this is a continuation of the ongoing rape story he is involved in. I imagine a story of such would be "Shefield United are considered resigning Chad Evans following... a spokesperson for the club has explained: '...'"

What I think might also be worth mentioning is that often people can "switch off" when the sport part comes on because they aren't really interested in sport and by placing it in news it allows it to reach the biggest possible audience and not just sport fans.

That is why I consider this out of his field (if you pardon the pun) and why it's best to "restrict" it to news.

I did like how originally they cut to Sean with sports stories mixed with the news.

It's obviously a mock, if it was real they wouldn't have the same theme tune/ itv opener. Common sense.

Also, it says 'mock' in the title.

The opening titles were designed by coffeeandtv ...

Quote:
Coffee&TV has delivered opening title elements for ITV’s new flagship breakfast show, Good Morning Britain, fronted by Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard .

Truss worked in Smoke to perform full grade and VFX work including extensive clean up of buildings, shot stabilisation, car and people removal and general clean-up across the aerial shots of London that form the background elements of the live titles every morning.

“We needed to deliver 2 versions – a 6am version which reflected the warm glow of sunrise across the city and an 8am version which was designed to portray a much clearer blue sky.” said Truss, “This was quite a challenge as we were using the same footage for both versions with 2 shots that had been filmed on different days, but both typically grey London days so I had to use atmospheric lighting and sky replacements in order to achieve the desired result.”

Interesting, so they are two different filmed shots but they still used added effects.

Interesting, so they are two different filmed shots but they still used added effects.

So the helicopter pan was filmed one day and then the drone shot of the building was filmed another, still can't believe it was a drone. Such a smooth shot, apart for the somehow unconvincing jolt right at 0:09...
