It's really good to see members putting ratings for peoples' mocks, but maybe we need some consistency across board.

Here's my suggestion. Five areas to give a mark out of 20.

Arrow First Impression
Arrow Use of colours, images and fonts
Arrow Relation to the brief/intention
Arrow Origionality
Arrow Effort

Once you have those five areas done, add them up, and if GCSE Maths taught me anything I belief we have an overall percentage!

EDIT: I've just noticed while browsing that RobTheBuilder has done a similar thing.

Nice idea in principal, but I think it could be a little too complicated. Also I don't think the overall % should necessarily come from all the other marks added together - sometimes it's better to just go with your gut feeling. It's also nice to see some comments on why it's good/bad and what can be improved on, rather than just a series of marks...

Absolutely, constructive critism never went a miss. But I do think an overall percentage, knowing that these five factors had been taken into account would be beneficial in gauging a rough overall guist of what people think.

Point taken, but to me, when it's all said and done, something like this (the marks you've given me for my MTV mocks):

Arrow First Impression: 16
Arrow Use of colours, images and fonts: 15
Arrow Relation to the brief/intention:20
Arrow Originality:18
Arrow Effort:17

Overall RTS Rating: 86%

doesn't really tell me a lot about your thoughts. It just looks like a set of cold figures. Sorry to be a spoil sport Embarassed but I don't see what's wrong with just good old fashioned words and perhaps a percentage! Wink

But for those who do want to accompany their comments with a percentage, this would be a favourable system to follow Smile

(although i like the system Wink )

That its good having our own rating systems, as each system fits our own ideas, if we stick to someone elses ratings we might end up worrying more about how we relate to other ratings than what we really think.

Good idea, but i personally prefer individual marking!

Cheers for the good review of my ATV work btw Very Happy
