SkyNews
Sky News reporter David Bowden & his cameraman were arrested on Wednesday night in Calais. They were producing a package following a group of Afghan illegal aslyum seekers trying to get into Britain through the tunnel. After being detained for a couple of hours, the Sky crew were released. But the Afghan arrested at the same time received rather different treatment. He was still handcuffed and freezing cold (due to lack of clothing) when the crew were released.
The dramatic package, shown on Thursday, was better than any other reports shown this week from Calais.
BTW: My signature appears to have spurned many clones in recent days!
How very uncharitable of the Sky News team to leave the poor sod without a stich on. You'd think on their grand salaries they might have offered him a jacket or shoes. Nothing much to brag about there then surely?
Incidentally, as a Scot and a non-football fan, I also think its a little embarrassing to brag in your signature about a victory that it took England
35 years
to recreate.....
Incidentally, being (1) a Scot and (2) a non-football fan you are entirely unqualified to comment upon an excellent footballing performance in both respects........
It doesn't take Saint or bleedin' Greavsie to state the obvious.
On a more TV note, I always fround it interesting to hear the likes of Jimmy Hill commenting on a Scottish match. What was it? Oh yeah, for a victory; 'A great win for Britain', and for a loss; 'A crashing defeat for Scotland'.
As a Scot who's forced to watch (by the BBC no-less) endless repeats of a match so long ago its only in four-hundred and odd line resolution I think I'm more than qualified to pass comment.
Sky News always tends to refer to England fans as 'English Football Fans'.
I suppose we will see how terrible our English Premier League is if your mighty Celtic and Rangers join our little party eh Gavin ? Oh sorry I forgot....you arent a football fan are you ?
And back on a more TV orientated note, if the BBC annoy you so much with repeats of past English football victories Gavin then perhaps you would like to suggest to them a list of comparable Scottish footballing victories which they could re-run instead ? (or just change the channel perhaps......)
'K dude, you got me there. I suspect there aint a Scottish game worth watching, and if there was I would doubtless be engrossed in Sky One or even UK Style.
In the best advice of my mother though, let's never talk politics or football....!
