Does anyone know when Sky News is changing it's set and logo? They might have been assembling the new set while they use the virtual studio for the election
Who's saying they will relaunch on Monday?
They will be in temporary studios for longer than a weekend, they certailny were last time.
That is of course unless the studios are being built somewhere else in the building, which wouldn't be logical as they have always been in the same place since launch.
DAS, I can't understand what you mean... you either like a channel for the sort of service it provides you with or you hate it.
You can't say that just because it doesn't re-launch that they are going to suddenly go down hill and everything is going to be bad...that is illogical.
Personally I don't expect that the relaunch will take place on Monday, I expect it will happen sometime in July, and REMEMBER
[B] NO OFFICIAL STATEMENT HAS COME FROM BSKYB ABOUT A RELAUNCH AT SKY NEWS.
LAST TIME A STATEMENT WAS RELEASED WELL IN ADVANCE, THIS TIME THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANYTHING AT ALL.... DO NOT GET YOUR HOPES UP FOR A RELAUNCH THIS MONTH
At the moment, I think Sky's graphics package is terrible - it looks scrappy. Now the ticker has gone, the astons look out of place and the general presentation looks wrong. My personal take on it is that Sky are just putting up with it for a short time, and I reckon its the weekend.
Of course I won't abandon Sky News just because they don't relaunch (and I know its more likely they won't), but I am the kind of person who likes a channel because of its graphics package, and I hope they replace their current presentation rapidly. That's all

Reminder to you:
Most previous relaunches have coincided with specific dates:
1997: new egg logos across network
1998: Sky Digital launched
The astons do look out of place and are obviously temporary things..
I mean take Sky News at Ten for example.
Compare the current temporary graphics to the old ones! The current graphics are obviously not going to be kept to their full extent I mean the entire channel would look terrible and like it had not been finished, I quite agree.
A relaunch is certainly due, and one is coming, but personally I don't think it is going to happen on Monday.. especially as they have not yet moved out of the current studios!
I don't think that Sky will base the relaunch on anything, .comTV didn't relaunch on a special day, neither did Sky Travel.
Each of the Sky stations is becoming more and more independent, all having their own buildings and different managers and controllers and different graphics, I doubt it will be a 'network sweep'.
Just wait for them to move out of the current studios, then I expect that we can start officially talking about a relaunch, and not just speculating.
