We've had Sky+ for over a year now (as a family) Its not like it seems the ads show ''don't worry you'll never miss your fave shows again'' oh yes you will you will see 'Failed' alot of the times

Also the 'series link' opinion I don;t think is good enough EG, if only fools & horses is on UKGOLD thursdays at 9pm and you series link it. It will only series link that showing so if BBC show an episode on saturday it won;t do that aswell
Theres no opsion for you to 'ALWAYS' record this show when its on 'whatever channel!!!!!!' you can't do that

Sky+ comes wrapped in gift wrapping when you 1st see but after a year of owning it... dunno if its worth bothering with anymore

I had it for a year before getting rid. I had nothing but trouble with it. In-fact Sky has always been more trouble then it's worth, Sky Analogue, Sky Digital and Sky+...they were all a pain int he a*se.

I hope Telewest's works better than Sky+. Apparently, due to the signals being sent via cable there is room for an extra tuner so hopefully the prices are good.

Oh **** I'm getting Sky+ put in on Tuesday!! I've made an awful mistake haven't I? So is there nobody here that hasn't had any major bad experiences with it?

I changed from Telewest because I just wanted to see more channels like E! and FX. There's an interesting article on Digital Spy about the new Telewest box, you can record two programmes and watch a third channel unlike Sky's where you can record two programmes but can only watch a third recorded programme. Another reason i went to Sky was because Telewest are taking too long in bringing this box out.

Read about it here.

I think it's the end of this year/early next year when Telewest bring it out. I'll wait a month or so until proper reviews are out before I order it.

Ive had Sky+ for over a year now, and Ive had no problems with it, apart from one or two failed recordings, that was due to programmes overlapping though.

Somebody on another forum had trouble recording the ITV Top 50 because it failed. Will I have this to look forward to a lot?

ITV suck for updating their EPG if things run late. But otherwise in the 9 months i've had Sky+ i've only had 1 failed recording and 1 botched recording. The botched one was Live8 and was because the BBC screwed up the EPG data. Everything else has recorded perfectly, and I record a lot.

If you just press the record button can you record a whole channel until you press stop and not just an individual programme?

Individual programme. But you can set a manual record to record for as long as you want
