I've been watching News 24 for 11 months now, and over that period of time I've noticed that all of the presenters seem to have their own way of saying 'Good Evening.'
Sometimes, Peter Coe doesn't say it. Carrie Gracie used to be bad at that too, but now she says it. I like the way Gavin Esler says it, and also Chris Eakyn.

I think it's Chris Lowe that goes slightly OTT on Sundays when he's on his own: 'This is BBC News 24, it's 7 thirty, good evening to you if you've just joined us, now a quick reminder of the headlines for you'; whereas I think Heather McCarthy just says 'This is BBC News 24, the headlines ...' ... oh well!

OK, I think the BBC News presenters could do with a shuffle for weekdays. Here's how it could look:

09:00-13:00 Bill Turnbull and Carrie Gracie
13:00-16:00 Matthew Amroliwala and Emma Jones
16:00-19:00 Joanna Gosling and Peter Dobbie
19:00-23:00 Ben Geoghagen and Gavin Esler
23:00-00:00 Chris Eakin
00:00-03:00 Emma Howard
03:00-06:00 Peter Coe
