Not sure how long they have been out but there are some really nice new emmerdale break bumpers.

•children playing in the park in the distance
• two walkers walking over a bridge on an overcast windy day

Why have they ruined Ashley's character? He's been in the show a long time, this is disappointing.

Peoples persona's can change and can take various reasons as for the change - so why not immitate that in soaps. I know people whose character has changed and its not taken much for it to happen - a break up, a family member with Alzheimers, losing confidence in ones self etc etc etc

The main storyline is about elder-abuse, but there is also a sub-storyline here, which is not even being mentioned or headlined, the one of Ashley's mental health - the hidden illness, which has slowly been deterioating since Lauerl's non-affair with Marlon.



On another note....
How many children did Annie Sugden have, was it just Joe and Jack? Also, in the outside-storyline, is Amos still living?

some nice new night time break bumpers in the omnibus earlier. does anyone happen to have screenshots of all the bumpers in this package?

How long has Paula Tilbrook (Betty Eagleton) been away from the Dales? Her character is never mentioned in the show any more.

I seem to recall Edna telling Ashley that Betty was on a cruise with Biff's family just before Christmas last year. Not sure what is wrong with Paula Tilbrook, but I find it unrealistic that they haven't mentioned her at all.

I think Pearl has recently disappeared too. Turner's barely in it so there's only Edna and Sandy keeping the "oldies" flag flying at the minute!

I noticed this evening that the 'mysterious midnight stair relocation team' have been active again in soapland.

Unless my eyes were deceiving me, the stairs in Debbie's house seem to have swapped to the other side of the living room, without even being mentioned, or any excuse given: in just the same was as it happened in Clurr & Ashley's house in Corrie.

Betty makes a return to the Dales tonight!

She re-surfaced (briefly) in the Woolpack a couple of weeks ago, although has been rarely seen in any storylines since.
