I've read in various places the excellent 'Peep Show' is "unlikely to be recommissioned" due to "poor ratings". Yet 'The F Word' which also performed poorly has been given a 2nd series. Rolling Eyes

They have got some sense though. According to Broadcast the incredibly dire 'Morning Glory' and early 'BBLB ' have been given the chop- the American imports out rated them both. Ch4 are still looking for a morning show though. Apparently all the pilots they get sent are just variations on 'RI:SE' & the 'Big Breakfast'. They're however quoted as saying "There willl never be another breakfast show on CH4 with 2 presenters sat in a studio discussing the papers ever again. We're looking for something genuinely different"

But to be fair, the show never performed brilliantly in the ratings, and Channel 4 were very loyal to the show, giving it three series. The two main stars are probably off to something bigger and better anyway.

Predict Five will win it next year. Certainly the channel that has evolved the most from its original incarnation. It even beat ITV in peak time with the launch of the new CSI series this week. Laughing

True - and the two blokes are now taking their Radio 4 show to BBC2.

Peep Show is brilliant though and never got the ratings it deserved. Be nice to have a couple of episodes to tie up the loose ends though.

Talking C4 comedy - anyone watch The IT Crowd last night. I was quite disappointed - The sh IT crowd more like!

Well the Radio Times didn't give it glowing reviews and said it was quite laboured. I never took to Peep Show, it's a show that's an industry darling but just leaves viewers cold, won't be sad to see that one go. They've tried everything t make it a hit but the general public just don't like it, very similar to what's happening to Arrested Development in the USA. And I agree with Roy Slaven about Channel 5, it really has come along and is so much better now than when it started.

Haven't seen any self-congratulating pomp yet, but I suppose that's not C4's style, is it?

I really used to enjoy Channel 4's Peep Show.

I hope another station picks the series up!

IT Show.............no show more like!

Peep Show is fantastic, I've only got into it by watching most of Series 3 and getting Series 2 on DVD (for £7.99 though! Wink ), shame it won't be recomissioned, but Channel 4 stuck by it and heavily promoted Series 3. But apparently Channel 4 are keen to stick with Mitchell and Webb, plus they've got something on the BBC coming along, a TV Version of their Radio 4 show apparently.

One thing though, where can I get Peep Show Series 1 DVD? I've tried Play.com, Amazon and Channel 4 Shop and it appears it's either sold out or been discontinued.

They seem to have gotten EVERYTHING right lately, apart from the IT Crowd (awful!).

Well done C4!
