BBC often start the main christmas promo a week before the pres launches.
Talking about intresting junctions next Friday the 5th December before Eastenders might be worth checking out. 😀

Hmmm, I'm really not sure now. Surely they would've had plenty of time to update the theme before re-launching the Christmas website for this year?
Is anyone "in the know" at least able to confirm for us whether there will be a new ident package for BBC1 this year? I'm not expecting anyone to tell us what the ident's actually going to be, it'd just be nice to know if we can expect something new for Christmas 2015.

Nice. Doubt it'll have much relevance as an ident tease though. Also hoping they go for a Christmas version of the ident music as opposed to a song, i.e Benny Goodman's Sing Sing Sing that we had one year.

I'm think at the moment we can only assume that this image is directly linked to BBC1's Christmas ident. But that may not necessarily be the case. The image may simply be for generic BBC Christmas promotion. We'll get a better idea once the trails start running as the endboards on those are usually a good clue as to what the ident will be.

I think the last time there was a festive version of the usual BBC1 Circles music was for the Christmas cul-de-sac idents in 2010. I don't mind different music for the idents, though, as long as it sounds Christmassy. The 2012 ident music, quite simply, did not.

Yeah, that's right. 2011 was the Consider Us promo/ident package and whilst that was a bespoke arrangement, there was no attempt to link in the BBC One motif, sadly. Then we had the Sing Sing Sing music in 2012, that composition based on a Bugsy Malone song in 2013 (whilst similar to the BBC One theme, in that it's a descending three-note motif, it wasn't actually the same motif) and last year's stand-alone music.
