Largely positive views though. IIRC the xylophone-type tune has some sort of Dutch and Flemish connection. It was used in various forms on Belgian channel Canvas and on Nederland Een in the 2000s.
The straps also remind me of the on-screen graphics used by RTL Nieuws in the Netherlands.

That is probably one of my favourite news looks ever - bold and distinctive and it aged rather well.
This doesn't match it at all IMO, and that VRT logo is one of the ugliest things I've seen.
All in all, it doesn't beat the 2008-2013 look, which looks good even now, nearly 10 years on.
