If it comes to it, do they
really
have to put 'Sunday' in their title just because a few of the other tabloids do? They can't have The Sunday Sun because of another paper and The Sun Sunday is just awkward.
If you visit sunday.co.uk you get diverted to the News of the World's 404 page, if anything they could just call it "Sunday" (with emphasis on the "Sun" part of the word).

Isn't that what they used to call the NOTW magazine?
Murdoch has been very clever both with the closure and the Sky News coverage to distance News International from NOTW.
So, do you think Murdoch is directly involved in controlling the Sky News coverage of this story? Jeez.
Not directly but Sky News will have been advised on what angle to take. Its damage limitation. Depending on what angle the wider media take, it could affect the entire of News International but they've handled it extremely well.
I very much doubt it will have been 'advised'. Let's not forget Sky isn't a majority-News International company, for now at least.
Has the newspaper review guest who is talking on the BBC News channel at the moment a viewer of this forum, so far he's virtually mentioned everything that's been posted here, almost sentence by sentence!
Very good comment on the BBC News channel press review by one of the reviewers saying that the atmosphere in the News of the World News room after Rebecca Brooks announced the closure of the NoW and she was keeping her job but everyone else was to go - must have been like the Episode of the Office where David Brent (Ricky Gervais) calls all his staff in to say the Office will close, but he will keep his job.
In my opinion, Sky News have been quite critical of the way News International has treated its employees - if anything, I think they've purposely tried to raise the question of BskyB to try and raise opposition to the takeover. I wouldn't put it past them - it's been clear for a while that Sky News employees are not happy with the takeover and spin-off.
