Hi,
This thread is to post an image your ITV Regional News set in and compare the colours to the other ITV News sets (BTW This includes Channel , UTV and STV or whatever Scotland is) and a good and a bad photo if possible. I'll start us off http://www.christiedigital.co.uk/recentInstallations/BusinessSolutions/Broadcast/ITV/images/image1.jpg Looks Great

I hate to disappoint you, beepchubby, but there are, effectively, only three sets.

The England and Wales, the Scotland and the Northern Ireland.

Very little, therefore, to discuss.

I think Mr Beep wants to discuss the variation amongst the ITV plc regions where the lighting differs quite wildly from region to region.

What about the Channel Islands?

This is the stv news studio for Scotland Today...North Tonight is the same however, the blue backdrop is lighter (more royal than navy)

Channel TV is a different company they have a different set

One thing I think is quite interesting is how 'The West Tonight', 'Central Tonight' (East) and 'Meridian Tonight' (East) all have voiceovers at the start of the main programme introducing the presenters.

You would think that even this would be uniformed, ie. either all regions or none of them. And even the intros and closing sequences all vary from region to region. So there isn't a total uniformed approach.

They use corporate ITV plc graphics, but the set is not the Simon Jago standard-issue kit.

Why couldn't you have just put tvwatcher instead of what my photobucket album is called?! Rolling Eyes
Anyway here is a clearer picture of the current state of the Central (West) set:

but agreed with BBCMIDSTODAY the set looks a lot more refreshed and brighter in the original blue colour compared to now.

I hate the vile looking Tyne Tees & Central studios lighting (examples), teal and yellow.. I think cylan blue would look good for the main lighting - as Central used to have and a dark blue behind the two small plasma's.

I think a bulb has broken in the North studio on North East Tonight, to the right of the main projector screen, but they've covered it up with their red & white xmas tree.
