i would have thought some of the 5 news peeps would have popped up in permanent positions on regional news programmes if not news channels by now.
the 5 news presenters were very high calibre back in the itn days, even if they were in awful studios (apart from the newsroom) and shunted around the schedules.
that's not to say the sky team aren't good, i just think people grew to know the original team since the launch of channel 5, especially as the news service was (IMO) the best thing on the channel.
