Deborah McKenzie on Newsday tonight - not a regular viewer of it but is this her first time?

I've seen her on Newsday before. I take it they're using random freelancers to fill in for Kasia Madera? What did they do before? I seem to remember a lot of Kasia, Babita and Juliet Dunlop when Karin took maternity leave?

I've seen Adam Parsons and Chris Rogers filling in too in the past couple of weeks - Kasia is now on maternity leave and Babita is off.

Jane Hill running out of her shift - they must be rather short on presenters this week!

Fiona Bruce, Sophie Raworth, Emily Maitlis & Sian Williams are this year's BBC Newsreaders performers. They will be doing ballroom in a Strictly Special!

Sue Thearle and Chris Rogers presenting on the News Channel this evening.

It was supposed to be Sue with Julian Worricker, according to her Tweet just a short while ago.

Meanwhile over on BBC World, Tanya Beckett is filling-in for Zeinab Badawi tonight. Unusual. Tanya would normally be on the early 5am shift tomorrow as well: wonder if she's having a lie-in instead!

Ben Thompson will be up later with Biz.

Naga did her morning shift plus GMT all this week, really like her. Also she'll be on Breakfast this Saturday.

Also to note, Adam Parsons doing the business. He did it last night too.

.....and, Adam is also in for David Eades tomorrow morning as well, I think. He's very good indeed.

Will there be any male performers? I remember last year Nicholas Owen, Ben Brown and Charlie Stayt took more of a back seat, will there even be any males at all this year?!
