A really classy opener! Lovely use of lighting. It shows how low ceilings can work (here's looking at you, BBC Breakfast) by encorporating lighting into the design and not hiding it. My only gripe so far is the shot at the video wall. The camera looks down onto the presenter and screen. I'd prefer it a bit lower down, if you see what I'm getting at.

I don't think this very often but I think it is a beautiful set for the AJE team in London.
I do agree with with aconnell is saying about the shot on the video wall being very low down on the presenter. It may be the camera being used for the shot as it's only issue. But the camera used on the desk seen just there is absolutely perfect within that studio.

Very nice but apart from the wide shot at the start the studio direction is virtually the same as the old studio. Hopefully they'll have more chance to show off the place, and the view, when AJE UK starts, otherwise it's a bit of a waste so far.
It's worth remembering that AJ Arabic have also moved there, so to see more of the new centre it might be worth keeping an eye on that too

presentation wise it seems that is the way things seem to be going on the major channels. Just a shot of the presenter with a big screen back drop. With full photography in the background and maybe a story headline. Personally I've always preferred an active newsroom. But looking at the AJUK studio its nice. A bit verging on Starship Enterprise for me. But do I like it. But it goes to show what can be done with a low-ceiling space. Well done.
