Can't recall who did it but someone expanded the look of the Nine across BBC News and ended up with something far better than what the BBC themselves did which was one of the best news mocks on here.

This sounds shameless, but I'm hoping at least some people liked the stuff I posted here Very Happy

Sit-Up Trio Simulator gets my vote too. Its a shame he never got round to completing the 3D studios but the accuracy of everything was very impressive.

I had a go at making one myself many years ago after being inspired chatting to and watching live a member on here called BarneyBoo making his original sit-up sim. Mine was functional but the control panel was nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing with a thin strip at the bottom containing a hundred buttons and boxes to enter numbers in which would replace the graphic in real time with a different colour image of that graphic. I had 105 colours to choose from for each graphic element but I was limited by the software so I could not do things like the particle effects or studios. If it was not for this place I would never have made mine without seeing someone else doing it first and then Daniel came along and blew both our attempts out of the water but I had fun playing with all 3 versions over the years....I must dig my copy of Daniel's out of the archives and reinstall it

Wow, thank you very much for your kind mention although I do believe there are far superior mocks to mine. None the less, your mention is appreciated.

Without a doubt for me pip2 is the standout contributer here.

And his BBC1 Globes by far the best design, bringing a classic right up to date with something which truly would have looked so great on TV.

(Unfortunately I think the content has largely been taken down).

The mock regional ITV News set was also superb - although to be honest almost everything they've done was.

Honourable mention to mdta and Bail too.

Brekkie, thank you so, so much. I'm thrilled by your appreciation. And a little bit emotional.

Something a bit different that springs to mind, was dosxuk sorting out the graphics for the Olympics. Still look good today and better than anything OBS has served up before or since.

Great idea for a thread following the sad news of TV Forum's closure.

For my response, I thought about the mocks which were standout not just in terms of quality but also in terms of offering a bit of variety to The Gallery. We've seen a million and one Good Morning Britain threads (he says, having made three of them...) so I wanted to focus on those designs which centre around lesser-mocked TV shows and events.

I will send my ultimate favourite mock to PATV privately as per his request, but some honourable mentions for me, in line with my above specification, are:

1. Network Ten Australia Rebrand by sammularczyk / Kevizz MS
2. BBC News In The Style Of The Nine by PATV Scunthorpe
3. ITV Nightscreen by Thistle
4. BBC Children In Need On Screen Presentation by brioalex

Such great, well thought-out design on display, and in each case, better than their respective 'real world' equivalent in my opinion. A joy to behold.

P.S. Heartfelt thanks to PATV Scunthorpe for referring to one of my mock designs earlier in the thread. That's an unexpected surprise and very touching! There was me thinking that all I'd contributed to this site over the past eight years was an exasperatingly repetitive critique of Piers Morgan's interview technique, and - very occasionally - unfunny tongue-in-cheek remarks. Evidently I provided something of worth, at least!
