I see TV Archive have managed to get hold of a tape containing the full set of Yorkshire's 1999 regional identshttp://www.auar71.dsl.pipex.com/TVA/yorkshire2.htm

Good that they've come out but it's a bit disapointing that it takes all this time for something to be smuggled out, at least now all YTV fans can indentify where the regional images came from in each ident. There was even a Boston version, although I doubt Katherine ever saw it on air.

With 40 versions made YTV were presumably planning to use them in every junction, although of course they didn't as the hearts came in at the same time.

The were quite ahead of their time really don't you think, as they were 'location idents' and one of them was a 'celebrity ident', the version of the YTV fanfare was in my opinion awful though, although this was changed after about a year in the long versions

Let's reminisce for a moment, you can almost hear Bob and Maggie voicing them over can't you? "Tonight at 7.30 The Dales Diary,.... now though the latest news .... from around the region"

I wasn't too fond of that version of the fanfare either, possibly the worst arrangement since the early 80's version. And coming after the majestic mid-90's arrangement, it sounded particularly bad.

Did all these actually get an airing? I only seem to remember the same bunch being used over and over.

I remember quite a lot of them, I can't seem to find that one with the YTV flags stuck in some sandcastles though.

For the later years it's best to run the realvideos from 12 seconds in and then see if you remember them
