Not only do you steal people's content but you take it WITHOUT permission!

I'm not pleased to find the sounds from Isonstine TV on your sites, trying to pass them off as your own! What is the f***ing point?

I have no objection to people using my files or distributing them, thats why are put them on the net in the first place!

BUT YOU take every single one of them, don't ask me AND pass them off as your own? You are seriously messed up, son!

I just wish you would go away and crawl back under whatever stone you came from!

We ignore him. Just like we have done until a couple of hours ago. We do NOT link to his site, we do NOT mention the URL, and we ask Asa to ban Max until his site has been scraped of all content which doesn't belong to him (which would effectively leave nothing).

GRRRR It's SCUM like him that gets meee so anoyed, i suggest u hold off identx for a while, and send LOTS of e-mails to whoever his host is and tell him what A &*&&£% he is!

I don't think you understand, Max, what people who capture these clips do. And they deserve credit! The BBC didn't make the actual clips, and they certainly don't spring out of thin air!

Here's what I have to do to capture a clip:

1. Buy a TV Card (and they are expensive)
2. Buy and wire up all necessary leads and wires
3. Install all relevant software
4. Learn how to use the TV Card
5. Specify a file name to save the capture.
6. Record the segment I want
7. Open VirtualDub and edit and save to exactly what I want (which takes a while)
8. Use VidEdit to open and resave the file. (If I want to freeze the end frame and keep the audio going, more editing is involved here)
9. Open RealProducer and go through all the menus.
10. Encode the file into a Real Media file
11. If people want it, upload it to the net

And if a VCR is involved, then there is even more to do, as well as if I want to capture a widescreen clip!

So I think you should get your facts straight and wake up to the fact that it takes us a lot of time and effort!

RealProducer? Saw that on real.com - It was about £200 -0 wasn't it???

No, I use RealProducer Basic - its free. Instead I use various free programs to do the jobs!

And thats another thing, downloading the software for editing! That takes time and money!

I may be going OTT here but you should really look at everything before you start making statements and going off at a tangent!

Because most people use Dynamic IP addresses, which change when you connect to the net...

As with most real things its buried deep in a un-navigatoriable(new word!) site, but is worth the download.
I think that e-mail James from Max is truly awful, i'm quite a confruntational person(considering my size!), so enjoy a good argument, how about e-mailing his hosts, if we all get in on the act they surely won't want the bother.
On a slightly different point, the family of TV site webmasters is a fairly close linked place tvIDworld is testament to that, its just Max's total disregard for that, that is annoying not just the fact that he steals files(and then boasts about it!).
