Few questions of this shortlived but brilliant comedy:
1) Who was the bloke in the background in series 1 he can be clearly seen when Rick watches Nozin Aroun in Demolition & a few other episodes (he's a hippy with hair in front of his face)?
2) How comes in series 2 the doorway between the hall & the kitchen now has a step but in sereis 1 the floor was level?
3) How come the kitchen got an extension on the back?
4) Why was the Young Ones stoped after series 2?
Thanks for help if anyone answeres these:D

Re: the set design changing.
This has happened in many sitcoms. The designer, of whoever, makes a design at the start but sometimes when they want to get a better shot, they have to change the set. This has happened in Only Fools and Horses. The position of the toilet moved a lot and the landing outside the front door was changed throughout the series.
The Young Ones, one of those classic comedies, near the
bottom
of my list! It entertains me, but I do not like it when you get some stupid, ridicoulas, irritating band play their music halfway through the show.
Sometimes, I feel like standing up and saying in Harry Enfield's famous way:
'Oui! Young Ones! No! You'll entertain us without any band playing their music in the show!'

Having a musical interlude was one of the only reasons the very strict BBC would allow them to have a lot of the mindless violence, and the use of words such as 'bottom', 'wriggle' and 'hippy scum'. Because the programme was designed for the youth, the BBC governers decided there should be a TOTP-like section to keep the kids happy!
But, yes, I found it annoying too: 1980s music has a LOT to answer for!!

Don't mean to be picky but don't you mean:
'Oi! Young Ones! No! You'll entertain us without any band playing their music in the show!'
Were you thinking of Harry Enfield being French? Lol
