The Young Ones

There is supposedly a tape of outtakes somewhere in existence which is a bit of a Holy Grail for Young Ones fans. Apparently the producers of the DVD tried to source the original tape but were told it had been lost or chewed up in a machine. But there was reportedly bootleg VHS copies for sale quite a few years back, wonder if any managed to survive...

The quality of the recordings I've seen would suggest that they are BBC recordings of Grandstand with the tape left running for another hour or so, thus catching the whole Dr Who episodes. There is no picture wobble of any kind etc. It could be cleaned up N1500 footage or something, but then I would expect some cropping at the bottom of the picture at least, and there is none of that.
