on ITV? It was originally presented by Matthew Kelly when it first started out and performed some good challenges over the years.
No actually you're wrong, the very first presenter of You Bet ! was Bruce Forsyth. To be honest, why would it come back, it's a very tired formula really ? It would need a radical change, and could perhaps be made interactive on digital.
'You Bet' was replaced by the far superior 'Don't Try This At Home' with Davina McCall. Davina was certainly up for it when she performed the ultimate challenge after a contestant bottled out from bungee jumping out of a helicopter into the Grand Canyon. This show has now been replaced by 'Challenge of A Lifetime' with Claire Sweeney.
I really enjoyed that programme when it was presented by Matthew Kelly! When that Darren guy took over, it was CRAP! Who was the woman that presented with Matthew? It's been such a long time I can't remember.
I saw Darren Day when he wasn't famous and was much more attractive. He was performing in 'Great Expections', and he was bloody awful.
He's a right irritating tosser now.
You Bet, could be improved by iTV, but you have to wonder whether these trashy ITV shows can really merit a comeback.
ITV have enough rubbish on at the moment, I don't think we need yet another pile of crap on our screens.
More original programming on ITV1, please. Less of this tacky LWT rubbish and some decent and original drama, non of these silly ' we want our host to be mean because it gets viewers' quiz shows.
If I remember corectally DTTAH is coming back for a new series next year, its not on this year cos Davina has just had her baby but they wanted to do more Challenges of a lifetime so they did the show with Claire Sweeny.
The first presenter I can remember was Matt Kelly.
