Place your bets - when do you think I'll get the first withdrawl symptoms?

No need for that - they invented the video recorder just for that...

It helps - but it won't be long before I feel the need to watch some new material from the Great Banter Blokes...

No. The 10.55ish and 3.05 bulitins are entirely for each subregion and there's an optout during the lunchtime news as well.

Calendar seem to be doing like ITV News do and using the 'News and Sport' sport presenter for the whole bulletin as Jason McCartney presented it today, sat behind the white desk

Oh and also the way they went to the end titles of Calendar on Friday a bit early I thought we were having some credits

Does anyone think Calendar should have credits on Fridays, like some other regional news magazines do

Nicola Crompton did today's Calendar News and Sport, including clips of some Calendar girls (Christine, Faye and some behind the scenes reporters) doing the race for life

Jo Blythe did Yorkshire weather and also the Pollen Count

Please excuse me whilst I butt in - but it went very cloudy and I got bored of sitting outside in the lack of sun so decided to have a mess around on the computer and ended up trying to make Calendar's CSO studio a little better. I'm not artist and I'm not great at mocks and all that, but I think they could better their current studio a little more.

Mock

The PowerPoint style is still intentionally - but it doesn't it look a bit better than it does plain. First is just the general background and the second picture is an example of how the inset would be used. Also apologies for the newsreader but I was messing about and by the time I had finished I couldn't find a decent picture of a Calendar newsreader. You get the idea anyway. Oh and they're widescreen for good measure, but they also work for 4:3 too - that should be fairly obvious.

YES, they are superb. Calendar take note. I like the new look on the whole but the CSO studios need sorting out and it wouldn't be too much to include a graphic of the region now - would it ?
