if that were the case I'd agree, but you've missed the point entirely. Someone calling themselves ianwhite6 and claiming to be in Leeds is flogging a large quantity of TV related stuff on eBay

Just what 'point' am I missing, exactly?

If he is the real Mr White, then he may well have interesting items in his loft which will fetch a few quid. That's entirely up to him.

He also registered here, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't post after reading this.

Nice work people. Rolling Eyes

Looked at his other items, and they're mostly ITV stuff - surely if it was the real Ian White (I am reserving judgement), it would surely be more BBC-intensive?

That's specious reasoning. How could you know what Ian White has amassed over the years, and by what means. My point is this - lets cut out the Miss Marple routine on the forum.

and a means of finding out whether it is the real I'm Ian White? Or should we give Paul the ammo to do that on air? Twisted Evil Mr. Green

The latter suits me - will leave that up to you to do Steve..... please post e-mail content here before posting so we know if the 'Steve' they read out is you!

That is what I find objectionable.

If you really have to know, then do the member the courtesy of asking by private message or email.

On another note - a couple of opt-outs tonight in Y&L, one for a documentary about the Flying Scotsman at 11.25 (I think) followed by something else (can't remember!)

What, that I would like another forumer to have the chance to have an e-mail read out on the programme? That was my only resoning behind posting what I did...... If you object to that, thanks for suggesting the Look North e-mail stage is mine....... which it isn't anyway. I doubt I;ll get one read out for a while, especially after what happened in the BBC Hull Reception last month....... I'm still in recuperation!

I am referring to the ongoing discussions on the veracity of 'ianwhite6's identity on this board specifically.

Call me a star struck old fool, but I rather enjoy that broadcasters might pop along to *my* forum and titilate me. I just feel that he might be put off.

I'm bored now. I'm going to poke 'gmtvfan' in the eye with a stick. He's cluttering up the mock forum.

You can join me if you like.

It was Harry Gration's last Look North for a few weeks on friday as he's off to Athens for the Olympics.

According to the RT, Dave Woods will be hosting tommorow's Super League Show.

Suppose Ian White will be a busy person over the next few weeks then.... Tom Ingall should get a few shows with Christa too, would like to see that combination on Look North....

I think Ian White is now the next Peter Levy, at least where being busy is concerned, he still did Look North Sunday even though he's on all next week.

The ending went less well than he probably planned though, with the music starting right at the start so being cut off ages before the end, if that makes sense

Perfect sense - Peter Levy was his usual unflappable (well, if he's not sharing a newsdesk with me) self on the Hull show... for some reason he looked VERY tanned to the point of lobster thermidor... could be my telly settings though...

The recorded window shots on Look North is getting a bit farcical. At the start of the lunchtime show, Paul showed a live shot of the weathercam showing heavy rain, then it cut to Charlotte with a brilliant bright summer day behind her, why not just use a live shot all the time!

hmm why did Charlotte do lunchtime? Clare did Breakfast

The 10.32am Yorkshire weather was presented by Steve Hadley this morning. The first time I've seen him on YTV although he could have appeared before. Jon Mitchell took over the rest from lunchtime.

Oh and Lisa Gallagher was on top form this morning with the weather dominated breakfast Look North bulletins with all the latest up to the minute details, I don't know how all the other regions cope with a recorded forecast.
