Well tonight's "Leave it to Levy" seemed to be an extended advert for Freeview. Part of it showed an old chap saying he wanted the BBC's digital channels, and he was shown looking through the listings for BBC3!. I doubt he'd like anything on there!

On Calendar there isn't really anything that special, although as you'd expect Calendar's OBs were out and about yesterday with Duncan outside Wakefield Prison and Chris Kiddey near one of Shipman's former surgerys in Todmorden

I was waiting for Peter to pull his face off and turn into John Simpson during that Freeview item!

The Freeview bloke Peter was interviewing has been misinformed about Bridlington's lack of digital TV; it IS available in Bridlington through three transmitters, namely Belmont, Oliver's Mount and Bilsdale.....

Sorry, Sophie - i've been ill, one of the Hudster's cars has been out of action (why do car warranties never cover the things that go wrong?) so the entire family has been busy, but I will speak now!

Was it only my misfortune to see Gemma Calleja on 'House Doctor' on Channel 5 last week? Can anybody confirm if this was a set up, or is she really married to Mr. Awful Beard? More info needed.

Just for a laugh, I watched Look North (Hull) last week. Are they presenting from the broom cupboard? And that picture of the Humber Bridge is ridiculous at night - just some blimps of light to enliven the gloom. Again, the rest of the region was ignored (has anyone realised that Yorkshire likes to know what's going on all over the County) and the leave it to Levy feature was just a poor space filling exercise. What's going on with the suit of armour - please!

I will now leave it for Katherine to rip my post to threads and sing the praises of the Hull massive.

Denis Norden`s 8th Laughter File should be interesting judging from the trailer a clip of Vicky Lockin with a piece of paper getting stuck on her lip so maybe more old calendar clips might be shown.

Also Katherine any news on whether Helen Phlipot will be presenting all the time while Helen F is off??? Also whats this about SEs email from Helen Philpot?

Philpot is going to be the dominant female presenter during Helen F's absence. It might be Nicola Hudson from time to time, to give her more broadcasting experience....

I agree - it was a bad decision to focus the external camera on the Humber Bridge, even more so since plans to illuminate the Bridge much more heavily fell by the wayside after complaints from the 'Light Pollution Brigade', and also another from the RSPB who recognised the Humber Estuary as an important wildlife area, especially on the southern bank of the Humber where there is a bird reserve, and the extra light generated by the full lighting of the bridge would have confused them in relation to their migration patterns. As a result of all this, the Bridge never got its full illuminatory potential realised.

It would have been better if Look North had had another camera installed somewhere in Hull city centre for the winter months, and switching to the Humber Bridge camera during lighter periods of the year.

Yes - not much of an improvement on the original idea......

I presume they are on holiday. With Christine off for 2 full weeks its a pitty Gaynor looks to be doing every day. It would have been good if someone else like Vicky Locklin did an odd Friday just like she used to.

That "The Way We Were" which was on ITV1 at 7.30 was narrated and produced by Andrew Knight, so that explains why he's not reading bulletins lately
