Yesterday at Six

Yes, I agree. In the thread a while ago I said how there's always something about Fiona on the Six that I just don't like about her. However, I really like her on Crimewatch - she seems really nice. But when she gets behind that desk......

Is Huw being eased out? Or is it just Fiona Bruce getting in as many times as she can before she goes on maternity leave?

What´s with the vendetta against Fiona Bruce?  I think she is an extremely professional individual at whatever she does - Crimewatch or BBC News.  I suggest that she connects with her audience in a way that perhaps other newsreaders do not!!

I suspect Fiona will be leaving within the next few months for maternity leave and may be doing more now because Huw will be on more when she is away. Fiona may be leaving next week because I see Sian is down to present Friday's programme next week (jump for joy!!).

I also like Fiona Bruce - can see why people may not like her but I do!

Steve, where do you get the information on which presenters are presenting news programs?

As I've mentioned earlier, I get mine from the Radio Times and BBC Whatson.

Yep, as Rob says, it's from the Radio Times. I wonder how many days holiday Huw Edwards has a year - it must be loads as he is almost always off on Fridays and has many other days off!

Yeah, Anna Ford is the same. What about George Alagiah? I presume he must be in all week, as he only presents, usually, Friday and weekends, like Fiona Bruce.

Yeah and Buerk and Sissons usually alternate between three/two days (Mon - Wed and Thu - Fri) but Sissons must be away as Buerk has been on for most of the past two weeks and for next week till Friday when Sisson returns.

Anna tells me that she does 180 days a year, with George Alagiah doing slightly less.
