i think its good they present other programmes. it shows that they do have legs behind that desk and it shows them for who they are rather than just telling stories all the time.

On Monday out of 8 regular Sky News presenters, only 3 were working!

Does anyone think it's a little weird or unprofessional for a senior newscaster (Fiona Bruce) to be presenting an entertainment-type shoe (Crimewatch)?

Crimewatch an entertainment show?? lol! Smile

It's a monthly show, asking showing wanted criminals for serious crimes. The BBC reconstructs the events of a crime in the hope of jogging peoples memories so that they can help Police with their inquiries.

Fiona Bruce replaced Jill Dando, who was murdered in 1999.

Well, there are lots of presenters missing from News 24:

Last Week:

Maxine Mawhinney filled in for Joanna Gosling

This Week:

Chris Eakin fills in for Bill Turnbull on Friday (he is doing Breakfast)

Chris Eakin filled in for Matthew Amroliwala on Wednesday

Geeta Guru-Murthy fills in for Carrie Gracie

Martine Croxall fills in for Anna Jones

Fergus Nicoll fills in for Martine Croxall on Saturday

Fergus Nicoll fills in for Susan Osman

Actually, George Eykyn is presenting Breakfast on Friday. He is reading the news briefing.

Actually, Breakfast has been strange recently!

Asad Ahmad has been filled in for by Jane Hill, Emma Howard, and now George Eykyn!

Also, Darren Jordon is on all week next week with Bill on Friday!

Huw is back doing the bulletins today - updates in the morning, I suspect he'll be doing the One and then through to the Six as well...

I get all my BBC ONE ones from the Radio Times (as mentioned above) however this has been wrong this week for the Six! I find the best place for News 24 listings is the BBC Whatson website (http://www.bbc.co.uk/whatson). You can see who is presenting until a week today and yesterday if there were any changes. The BBC ONE page isn't updated until a few hours before each bulletin.

Give it a try! The News 24 one is very rarely wrong!
