Yesterday at Six

I was out yesterday therefore I couldn't watch the BBC News at Six. Who presented it, please?

Thanks. Fiona is my favourite presenter, apart from Sian Williams. I'd really like George Eykyn to present the Six.

Thats strange...as soon as that article was released about Fiona Bruce wanting to present more often, she starts presenting Mon-Thurs! Apart from Sian Williams who presented today.

I certainly would rather have Sian present the Six O'Clock News than Fiona Bruce!

That would have been because Fiona has Crimewatch to do tonight.

I know he did that Cardiff singer on Saturday but he's starting to miss alot of six's at the moment.

I don't know what's happening on the 6. Huw presented 1 day last week, which is what Fiona Bruce usually does, and we haven't seen him since. - Strange.
I don't think George Eykyn will ever be more than a weekend presenter if that, and will stick to being a BBC correspondent.
George Alagiah and Sian Williams have both been busy today. George filled in at 1, then presented the 10. While Sian was a correspondent on the BBC's State opening of Parliament this morning, then she presented the 6.

I think it has something to do with that article a few weeks ago!

It can't possibly be Crimewatch why Fiona didn't present tonight, as she always does Crimewatch!

Well she presents Crimewatch once a month doesn't she ? So, it makes sense that she would not be doing the 6 tonight, but preparing for Crimewatch.

When Fiona is doing Crimewatch and the six, the person doing the 10 tends to fill in for the update just before 7. the past few weeks have just been weird.

On BBC News...Huw Edwards, Anna Ford today, On ITN... John Suchet, Mary Nightingale, On Look North... Clare Frisby, Ian White, Penny Bustin, On Calendar... Karen Petch...
Also Michael Fish seems to be doing quite a lot of BBC weather forecasts on BBC one this week

Does anyone think it's a little weird or unprofessional for a senior newscaster (Fiona Bruce) to be presenting an entertainment-type shoe (Crimewatch)?
