Earlier in the year, GOLD announced they would be commissioning a new series of Yes, Prime Minister, with the same writing team as the original.

I decided to try to look online to see when it would be released and it has not be announced yet. However I came to SRO Audiences and found they start filming it at TV Centre this month!

Anywho, I managed to get a ticket for the day after my Birthday on Sunday 19th, and was wondering if anyone else had gotten a ticket, or if anyone else is interested in the show's return.

Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister are two of my most favourite comedy's ever, so the idea of seeing it filmed is such a thrill!

Flucking bloody hell! You're joking? I had really no idea they had considered a re write of YPM. It was, without a doubt, my favourite Comedy ever!

Particularly the role made fantastic by Nigel Hawthorne. So, who's rumoured to be in the remake? I hope it's spot on as good as the original.

Following the success of the stage version, I assume the same actors will be in the new TV Show.

They are updating it so Jim Hacker is now the PM in a coallition.

That guy on the right is my local MP... He can't be in it, surely? Is there an article with the picture?

It's just an image I found when looking for the images of the stage cast. AFAIK the cast for the new series has not been confirmed

I googled it and it seems he was there to advertise it in Get Surrey. The stage version went to Oxford Playhouse recently.

It may have been successful, but it was really quite bad. Not terribly funny and actually really quite tasteless in places.

It didn't feel like it had the sharp observation and wit of the original.

Perhaps with judicious editing and the shorter length, it is possible that the episodes may stand up better than the stage version.

Maybe, but given this was sold as being in the spirit of the original series, it really felt very flabby and unlike what were used to seeing, even given the inevitable extra length.

But we shall see.

It would be great if Derek Fowlds could appear in it.

Has Gold announced any other new comedies? Uktv said news on more and how it plans to spend the million it's pouring into oringal content, during the summer.
