How once again ITV / bbc make show that make us wonder why?

here the list:

* Dance X
* Castaway
* Victoria Beckham: Coming to America
* News Knight
* Tycoon
* Trinny and Susannah Undress
* Grease Is The Word
* Baby Ballroom
* For The Rest Of Your Life
* Totally Jodie Marsh: Who'll Take Her Up The Aisle
* 24 Hours With
* Deadline - ITV2's terrible attempt at a reality show
* Tough Gig
* Holiday Showdown: Extreme
*Three Fat Brides, One Thin Dress ( I thourgh that this was actually good, lets be honest half the people in the UK need a good kick up the arse and need to start eating healthy)

so: once Here we are talking about how bad TV is: of course we had this very same discussion last year.

why can;t there just leave some of the programme to run?

News Knight did quite well in its time slot, as did Baby Ballroom and Deadline, so they weren't really flops. Rolling Eyes

oh dear on once again good Internet is not well GOOD

here the source http://entertainment.uk.msn.com/tv/features/gallery.aspx?cp-documentid=5994260

Baby Ballroom - I know I'm going to get a slating for including this show in this feature about god-awful summer TV. Some viewers will regard Baby Ballroom as 'good, wholesome entertainment'. But for me, it's like watching those disturbing American kiddy beauty pageants: children in make-up and grown up clothes…shudder. And having adult Munchkin Ray Quinn as a judge sums it all up.

Quote:
News Knight - Three comedians and Sir Trevor McDonald (the news knight himself) satirise the week's news. It's produced by Hat Trick Productions, the same production company behind Have I Got News For You. Perhaps that explains the similarity, but it doesn't excuse the conceit. Moreover, Sir Trevor McDonald looked about as comfortable fronting this mess as Jade Goody would at a MENSA meeting.

Those are only people's opinions. Ratings for the shows I mentioned were reasonably good.

Personally I'd throw 'Britains Got Talent' into there, a good format, works better for the American version methinks but I was a little disapointed by it.

Britain's Got Talent was one of the most watched shows this year. That means it was far away from being a flop. Rolling Eyes

BGT falls into the variety category of television.. which we are in desperate need of these days.

As for the list, you forgot the "All of the above" option.

I know it's your opinion but I disagree, in fact Britain's Got Talent got more attention than the American version worldwide! I've seen the American version and it's awful.

That's because Regis talking through his nose is more annoying then an ITV2 programme.

I don't see why Holiday Showdown: Extreme is in there. It's a good show, it's just that ITV like to bounce it around the schedules.
