Jonathan's an excellenet entertainer. And those that have seen him perform on stage, such as in Rocky Horror should know that.

He could be the next bruce forsyth. Perhaps itv should use him in a few ideas, it may be interesting if they could discover a new genertation game type format.

I noticed in my Xmas TV Guide that the Christmas Special of You've Been Framed is 45 minutes long and will be shown on Sunday 28th December at 6.45pm.

Funnily enough, that's precisely what my CHRISTMAS TV Guide says also.

(Sadly, this TV guide also refers to Christmas like it's a skin disease as well!)

Sometimes I like Jonathan Wilkes, other times he is wooden and dreadful.

When he winks it makes me cringe, likewise when he says "Cheers" before the ad-breaks and at the end. Also, when he goes to the schools he is really wooden and it's awful when he says "Bye kids...". Also, when he's talking to people in the audience it's obviously scripted and he's very wooden.

He's quite good when he does "Named, Framed and Shamed" though.

I am sorry, but what the hell have they done to this show??????

I tuned in today to have a laugh at some camcorder clips, but what I got was some cheesy american rip-off with a crap host!

They should do away with the whole cheesy thing - the kids in the school, the clip for a trip thing - it just doesn't work.

Oh, and that Jonathan Wilkes fella couldn't present to save his life. Bring back Lisa!!

Well the viewers seem to disagree. Ratings are much higher than they were with Riley.

I have to say, I've given him chance, but he hasn't really improved. He needs to be himself more, the way it is at the moment it's very scripted and wooden. The competition bit at the end where he chats to people in the audience I think is the worst bit. Gary Bushell is saying that he makes Lisa Riley look good.

And where is this sock puppet thing, I've yet to see that.

I think that ITV are clutching at straws with this now, I really do.
They should just give up and buy Kirsty's Home Videos from Sky - it's 200% better.

I watched a full show tonight for the first time (I recorded the first few and haven't watched them back all the way through!). And they had no adverts in the middle of YBF, they had two trailers, and between YBF and Creature Comforts.

The ideas that they have tried are good. They've turned it more into an entertainment show than merely links in between clips. Perhaps this is what the audince would prefer to watch, and if the ratings are up it proves so. They need to work on some of the ideas. Its a shame they record them all together, so they can't make them topical in some way, or try out new ideas if things aren't working.

The presentation of the new version are better, music is excellent, titles are even better. The set is ok when it is lit, but I liked the last set with the metallic and plastic, and holes in the balconey, what if Lisa fell through?

I agree with you about the wooden scriptedness of things, he doesn't seem to read autocue that good. Those who saw him on SM:tv live will see that he can be a good host. Those of you lucky enough to see him in Rocky Horror (in a theatre near you!) will also know how live he can be, how quick witted he is and how he is a great entertainer.

I sometimes cringe when he says things cheers, and I live around here! It sounds like he's just been plucked from stoke and in the studio, and he hasn't lived anywhere else. With Robbie you can tell that London has calmed his accent, where as Jonathan still has his in tact. Thank goodness he hasn't gotten into the thing of saying Ay'Up Duck.

Speaking of Stoke on Trent, has anyone been watching the things that Dick & Dom keep showing, I don't know what the producers are thining. First of all they had the cat singing the song about stoke on trent, then yesturday they had a game of Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Staffordshire Oatcakes (instead of h, s, k & toast). I know its not YBF, but I had to get it in whilst i thought about it!

I preferred Lisa because at least she was jolly and bubbly... I think she'd have worked quite well in this new format - going to the schools to see the kiddies and so on.

I do like the new show though... and there definately is a sock puppet near the end of the series (unless they've cut him out, and therefore have a repeat of the 'best clips on today's show' ?)
